Lightning Fast Swim Series

Learn to Swim, Fast
Lightning Fast Swim Series is built on a "swimming first" philosophy, introducing young athletes to the sport of competitive swimming from the earliest levels. This program focuses on developing strong foundational skill and stroke efficiency across all four strokes.

Levels and Progressions
Lightning Fast includes five progressive levels, each building essential skills for young swimmers:
Level 1: Water comfort, floating, and basic movement.
Level 2: Freestyle basics, breath control, and body position.
Level 3: Stroke development in freestyle and backstroke.
Level 4: Introduction to breaststroke, butterfly, and race skills.
Level 5: Endurance, technique refinement, and readiness for competitive training.
Swimmers are assessed regularly and may advance at the start of each month. Graduates of Level 5 are invited to join PCS Development groups.
Registration Info
Registration for the Lightning Fast Swim Series is completed online through your PCS account. Each facility offers its own schedule, so families should select the appropriate location and level based on availability and swimmer readiness.
Swimmers aged 4 to 10 are eligible to register, with priority given to those within the recommended age range for each level. While older swimmers may be considered in special cases, placement is subject to space availability and is not guaranteed.
Due to high demand, some groups may fill quickly. If your preferred class is full, you can submit a waitlist request through the registration portal. Our registrar will contact you if a spot opens up.
Before registering, please ensure your account is active and that you’ve reviewed the level descriptions to choose the best fit. If you’re unsure, our coaching staff is happy to assist with placement recommendations.

Yes, our registration is ongoing throughout the season. As swimmers progress through the levels, space becomes available. Submit a waitlist request to be notified about an open spot.
My child is older than the listed age range for a Lightning Fast level. Can they still register?
While the Lightning Fast Swim Series is designed for swimmers aged 4-10, we understand that some older swimmers may be new to the sport or still developing foundational skills. In select cases, older swimmers may be accommodated if space is available.
However, please note that priority is given to swimmers within the intended age range for each level. Due to high demands, space for out-of-age-range participants is often limited. If your swimmer is outside the typical age bracket, we encourage you to contact the registrar to discuss placement options or explore alternative programs that may be a better fit.
What equipment does my swimmer need?
Swimmers are required to have:
