Winter VIR 2026 Highlights

PCS had over 135 althetes racing in Victoria this weekend at Vancouver Island Regionals, winning the meet with over 8000 points making this the 12th consecutive win for PCS at Regionals. There were 5 new club records set, along with a handful of new Divisional and Provincial qualifiers and 1 new Provincial Record!
Congratulations to our new Club Record Holders:
- Maelle Sanborn 15-17 200m IM: 2:16.30 (previous record 2014, 2:17.18)
- MIla Chernenkoff 15-17 50m butterfly 28.52 (previous record 2018, 28.53)
- Ada Chen, Katie McLaren, Averie Hill & Stella Neable 13-14 4x100m freestyle record (previous record held in 2013)
- Mila Chernenkoff, Isabella Meyer, Maelle Sanborn & Riley Greenfield 15-17 4x100m freestyle relay (previous record 2015)
- Rubin Lee, Eason Zhou, Alex Camaraire, Evan Eide 15-17 4x100m freestyle relay (previous record 2007)
Congratulations to Sophie Wood for setting a new Provincial Record in the SB10 category of 100m butterfly with a time of 1:16.2!
