PCS at 61st Mel Zajac International Swim Meet
Pacific Coast Swimming's National Group swimmers delivered a strong performance during the 61st Mel Zajac Jr. International Swim Meet on June 5 to 7 at UBC Vancouver.
Prior to the meet, Coach Rod Barratt and 16-year-old Maelle Sanborn were selected to represent Canada at the Junior National Relay Camp. Mel Zajac brought together many of the country's top junior swimmers.
Meet highlights
Maelle Sanborn:
- Personal Best for 50M Breaststroke at 32.29, 100M Breaststroke at 1:10.00, 200M IM at 2:19.6
- Podium Finish for 50M Breaststroke and 100M Breaststroke
- New Club Record for 50M Breaststroke Open Club Record and 15-17 Club Record, 100M Breaststroke 15-17 Club Record
- Made the Top 8 Rankings in Canada in the Open Category for the 50M, 100M, and 200M Breaststroke
Alex Camaraire:
- Qualified for the Pan Pacific Trials for 50M Free
- Contributed to a strong relay performance alongside Tamba Boamah, Rubin Lee, Demetri Mylonas, and Jordan Raume to finish in the Top 10 for the 400M Freestyle Relay, 800M Freestyle Relay, and 400 Medley Relay
Jordan Raume:
- Finished 10th for the 100M Breaststroke
- FInished 9th for the 50M Breaststroke
Nolan Greenwood:
- Personal Best for 400M Freestyle at 4:12.3 and 800M Freestyle at 8:42.00
