PCS at 2026 Summer Vancouver Island Regional Championships

Pacific Coast Swimming delivered an outstanding performance at the Vancouver Island Regional Championships (VIRs) held at the Nanaimo Aquatic Center from June 5 to 7. Swimmers from across the club - ranging from Development Group to National Group - came together for a weekend of swimming.

PCS earned more than 100 top-three finishes and led the team standings throughout the three-day meet.

Several swimmers achieved Divisional qualifying times:

• Stella Stoner - 50M Butterfly
• Esme Sanborn - 400M Freestyle
• Sohayb Belaid - 100M Breaststroke
• Beatrice Milne - 100M, 200M, and 400M Freestyle
• Fletcher Sommerville - 50M Freestyle

One of the standout performances of the weekend came from Derek Francois who set a new Pacific Coast Swimming club record in the Boys 11–12 200M Butterfly.
