PCS at 2026 Summer Divisionals
Pacific Coast Swimming wrapped up an outstanding weekend at the 2026 Summer Divisionals held at Walnut Grove Community Centre on June 26 to 28 with swimmers achieving personal bests, qualifying times, and finals appearances across all three days of racing.
Provincial Group:
The Provincial group also had a successful weekend, adding seven new Provincial Qualifying Times. Lucas Zhang qualified in the 50m and 100m Backstroke, Ruby Crowe qualified in the 50m Backstroke, and Maya Marston secured Provincial times in the 50m, 200m, and 400m Freestyle, along with the 50m Butterfly.
Senior Group:
Our Senior Group saw eight finals appearances throughout the meet. Mila Chen led the way with three finals swims while Sophie Lemmon had two finals appearances. Karina MacDougall, Libby Hagel, and Esme Sanborn also earned spots in finals, showcasing strong performances against some of the province's top swimmers.
National 1 Group:
The National 1 group delivered personal bests while earning multiple Provincial Qualifying Times. Swimmers made significant improvements across the board, highlighted by major time drops. New Provincial Qualifying Times were achieved by Mauricio Rinzsch (50m Backstroke, 50m Butterfly, 100m Backstroke), Owen Schroeder (50m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke, 200m Freestyle), Sierra Thrift (100m Breaststroke), and Ethan Zhang (100m Breaststroke).
