PCS at 2026 Far Western Championships
Six Pacific Coast Swimming athletes alongside Coach Mark Lancaster travelled to Concord, California to compete at the Far Western Championships. The team put together an impressive week of racing while making memories both in and out of the pool.
Lukas Bartlett had a standout meet, setting club records in the 100-metre freestyle (1:00.07) and 50-metre freestyle (27.38). He also won silver in the 100-metre freestyle and 100-metre backstroke, bronze in the 100-metre breaststroke, and finished fourth in both the 100-metre butterfly and 200-metre breaststroke.
Lukas Schroeder also had a strong week, winning gold in the 200-metre backstroke, bronze in the 200-metre individual medley and 400-metre individual medley, while adding top-10 finishes in the 50-metre and 100-metre backstroke.
Sam Massyn and Maya Marston also reached finals during the meet, with all top-nine finishers receiving a commemorative finalist medal.
PCS finished the meet with 12 Top 10 finishes, seven podium finishes, and two new club records.
With another successful Far Western Championships in the books, the team returns home with plenty of great performances.
