Christmas Cracker 2025 Highlights

What an amazing weekend for PCS! Our annual Christmas Cracker Swim Meet brought together around 750 swimmers, 50+ coaches, and 23 clubs from across BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Yukon and Washington state.

PCS brought 188 swimmers to our home-hosted event. Swimmers ranging from age 7 in our Development group all the way up to our National and Varsity level athletes, PCS came together and swam almost 900 personal best times.

This meet wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible efforts of our volunteers. Over the course of the three days, nearly 450 volunteer shifts were filled, and many contributed countless hours of preparation before the meet even began.

We would also like to give special recognition to PCS parents Mike Sanborn, who served as Meet Manager; Mac Macdonald, who served as Meet Referee; and Jaime Hilbert & Anna Hunt for serving as Volunteer Coordinators. Each of them dedicated many hours behind the scenes and spent the entire weekend at the pool to make this event a success.

PCS had a number of outstanding swims, including 9 new club records, 1 new Provincial record and 2 new meet records

A huge congratulations to Sophie Wood for breaking the para Provincial record in the female 50m backstroke with a time of 35.14.
